The company's own knowledge base confirms this location, and its Trustpilot profile explains why: after data loss problems with a previous server provider, the company paused new signups, rebuilt its setup, and moved to OVH in late 2012.

For most small websites, this location doesn't cause noticeable speed problems. But if your project has a hard requirement for US-based servers, for example for certain compliance reasons, this is worth checking before you sign up.

Pricing, discounts, and renewal costs

USHost247's pricing page does something many budget hosts don't: it shows the monthly and yearly price side by side for each plan, right from the start. That's a transparent approach compared to hosts that hide the yearly total until checkout.

On top of the listed prices, the homepage also advertises promo codes such as SALES50 for an extra discount. The page doesn't make clear whether this discount applies only to your first term or continues at renewal. Given how responsive the support team is according to reviews, it's worth asking directly before you buy, so you know your real cost after the first billing cycle.

A few other pricing details worth knowing:

  • A free domain name is included only with annual billing, not with monthly plans.
  • Any funds you preload into your client account are non-refundable and get applied automatically to future invoices, according to the terms of service.

In plain terms, this guarantee is a one-time offer for first-time customers only. If you've ever had an account with USHost247 before, even years ago, and you sign up again, you won't be covered by the guarantee on the new account.

This isn't just theory. One Trustpilot reviewer from April 2023 ran into exactly this situation. They had been a customer from late 2021 to early 2023, then opened a new account in April 2023 and asked for a refund after running into technical issues. The company pointed to this exact clause and declined the refund, while also acknowledging there had been "a small hiccup" with an outdated cPanel theme in their billing system at the time.

The guarantee also doesn't cover domain registration fees, setup fees, software installation fees, or administrative fees, according to the terms of service. Keep this in mind if your order includes any of these extras.

User reviews that mention uptime tend to be positive, with words like "great uptime" and "no downtime" coming up repeatedly in customer write-ups over the years.

It's worth knowing that the company has had rougher periods in the past. By its own account, before 2012 it experienced data loss tied to hardware failures at a previous server provider, which led to a pause in new signups while the team rebuilt on OVH infrastructure. Since reviews from after that period describe a more stable experience, this looks like a problem the company addressed rather than an ongoing pattern.

Smaller hiccups still happen, as with any host. One Trustpilot reviewer from October 2020 reported that their reseller account's firewall permissions had been reset to default by mistake. Support identified the cause, restored the permissions, and apologized within the same support ticket.
