Pricing and what you actually get

Bacloud offers shared hosting, Linux and Windows VPS, dedicated servers, online backup, SSL certificates, and domain registration. Prices are available in both EUR and USD. On the surface, the plans look competitive — but a closer look reveals some conditions worth knowing before you order.

The shared hosting lineup starts with the Personal plan at €1.50/month. The catch: it requires a minimum order of 12 months. Most hosting providers let you start month-to-month or at least on a 3-month cycle. Bacloud's entry plan does not. If you want to try shared hosting without that commitment, the Business plan (€4.27/month) requires only a 3-month minimum, and the Professional plan (€5.70/month) has the same 3-month floor.

The Personal plan also comes with just 50 GB of monthly bandwidth. That's enough for a small, low-traffic site, but it's a significant limitation compared to competitors that offer unlimited bandwidth even at the entry level. Starting from the Business plan, bandwidth is listed as unlimited. Storage runs from 10 GB on Personal up to 50 GB on Professional, with 2, 5, and 10 MySQL databases respectively.

VPS pricing depends on the plan type and location. Linux OpenVZ and Linux KVM options start below €6/month; Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS) with fully dedicated resources start higher. Dedicated server pricing varies significantly by configuration — Bacloud offers both a standard catalog and a separate "Bargain" section with discounted or refurbished hardware at lower prices. Because plans are highly customizable (CPU, RAM, storage, location), the final price depends on your choices. Always check the official pricing pages for current figures, as they update regularly. Multiple long-term customers across review platforms confirm that the value holds up over time.

One thing that stands out positively: Bacloud accepts cryptocurrency payments (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and others) through Coingate, as well as PayPal, Alipay, Paysera, and credit cards. For users who prefer private or anonymous payment methods, this is a real differentiator.

Shared hosting: features and limitations

All shared hosting plans run on cPanel with LiteSpeed Enterprise acceleration. LiteSpeed is a well-regarded web server that typically delivers faster page load times than Apache, particularly for WordPress and other PHP-based sites. Including it even on the cheapest plan is a genuine plus.

Daily backups are included across all shared plans, which is a standard feature today — but worth confirming, since some hosts charge extra for this. However, Bacloud's online backup product is a completely separate, paid service. The two are different things. The shared hosting includes daily server-side snapshots; the "Online Backup" product is an additional cloud backup solution sold separately for servers, workstations, and databases. New customers can easily confuse the two.

Free SSL certificates are included with all plans. Installatron (a one-click app installer for WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and others) is also available. Multi-domain hosting and subdomains are supported across the lineup.

On the Personal plan, the resource limits are tight: 768 MB of virtual memory, 40 processes allowed at once (NPROC), and only 50 emails per hour. For a personal blog or simple portfolio site, this may be fine. For anything more dynamic — an online store, a membership site, or a forum — you'll likely want at least the Professional plan, which allows 1.5 GB of virtual memory, 80 processes, and 200 emails per hour.

One HostAdvice reviewer from December 2025 described testing Bacloud's UK VDS (virtual dedicated server) for Linux and DevOps workloads, specifically Drupal/PHP applications. They noted that the service matched its spec sheet with no hidden throttling, praised the NVMe performance as "excellent — especially for workloads where single-thread CPU and disk latency matter," and called the support proactive: Bacloud's team contacted them within about two hours after an upgrade to flag a disk resize issue, before the customer even noticed it.

A UK-based infrastructure professional reviewing Bacloud in January 2026 on HostAdvice described working on a complex setup involving routed subnets, KVM guests, and a third-party control panel (Virtualizor). He reported that Bacloud's support team "actively investigated the issue, and even logged into the control panel to help diagnose the problem" — calling it the kind of support that is rare and that "handled it exactly how you'd want a competent infrastructure provider to handle it."

On Trustpilot, a long-term customer described the dedicated server offering as "decent priced, highly customizable and well supported," noting that users can add disks, upgrade network cards, and create their own VPS instances on top of a dedicated server. This kind of hardware flexibility is more common with specialist server providers than with general-purpose shared hosts.

Bacloud maintains data centers in four locations: Šiauliai (Lithuania), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Coventry (UK), and Chicago (USA). The Lithuania and Netherlands locations have been running since the early years; the US and UK locations were added later. This geographic spread matters for latency, especially for European and North American customers who want to pick the location closest to their users.

One detail worth knowing about VPS bandwidth: at least one Trustpilot reviewer mentioned a 50 TB monthly bandwidth cap on VPS servers. For most use cases this is not an issue, and the reviewer called it "barely noticeable," but it's not prominently advertised, so it's worth confirming with Bacloud's sales team for high-traffic or data-heavy projects.

Customer support: mostly praised, occasionally criticized

Support is the topic that generates the most detailed feedback across review platforms, and the picture is mostly positive — especially for technical users.

The majority of reviewers on HostAdvice (81 reviews, 4.6 rating) and Trustpilot (30 reviews, 90% five-star) specifically mention support as a highlight. Phrases like "fast response," "competent and friendly," and "goes beyond what you'd expect" appear across many independent reviews. Support is available 24/7 via live chat and tickets, and Bacloud responds in English, Lithuanian, and Russian.

The company also responds to negative Trustpilot reviews — 100% of them, typically within 48 hours. This level of engagement with public criticism is a positive signal about how the company handles disputes.

That said, there are exceptions. One HostAdvice reviewer from Lithuania in October 2021 gave a 1.4 rating, saying that support couldn't answer a question, got frustrated, and simply closed the ticket. A 2013 thread on WebHostingTalk described a customer who waited more than two weeks for a response to a high-priority ticket — though this complaint is more than a decade old and may not reflect the current operation.

Another pattern worth noting: when disputes arise around refunds or account suspensions, some customers report communication that felt dismissive or difficult. The money-back guarantee: read the fine print

Bacloud advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee. This is a legitimate offer, but the policy has a number of conditions that significantly narrow who can actually use it — and the marketing page does not prominently highlight all of them.

Here are the key restrictions directly from the refund policy:

Only brand-new customers qualify. If you previously had an account with Bacloud — even if you closed it — you are not eligible for the money-back guarantee on a new account. The policy explicitly states that refunds will not be issued to users who "previously registered, closed, and re-created an account again."

The guarantee applies only to the first service purchased. If your order contains multiple services, each service in that single order is separately covered (which is actually user-friendly), but if you buy a second service later, it is not covered.

Several service types are excluded: domain registrations, renewals, service renewals, software licenses, SSL certificates, IP addresses, and installation work billed at a separate rate. This means if you buy a hosting plan and a domain together, you can refund the hosting but not the domain registration fee.

Transaction fees are deducted from the refund. For PayPal, Alipay, or Paysera payments, the fee is €0.50 plus the payment processor's transaction fee. For cryptocurrency payments through Coingate, the fee is 1% of the transaction plus a €3 flat fee. For bank transfers, €0.50 is deducted.

In practice, some customers report difficulty getting refunds even when they believed they qualified. A WHTop reviewer from July 2023 described requesting a refund after services didn't meet expectations, being asked for a passport selfie (with no legal basis given), and then having their account banned when they asked which law required this. A BitTrust reviewer described requesting a refund after the service didn't meet their needs and being told it wasn't eligible — then opening a PayPal dispute, at which point their account was closed.

Bacloud's responses to these complaints on review platforms generally argue that the services were suspended due to TOS violations (such as phishing spam or misuse), and that ID verification was requested because of security concerns around the payment method used. In at least one case on HostAdvice, a customer who complained about suspension was confirmed to have been running phishing spam. These specific cases may not represent typical customers, but the pattern of disputed refunds is worth knowing about before you order.

Uptime and reliability

Bacloud states a guaranteed uptime of 99.95% on its Forex VPS product page. Some third-party sources cite 99.97%. Neither figure is independently verified in the reviews we found, but no reviewer among the 81 on HostAdvice or 30 on Trustpilot identified recurring downtime as a major problem. One early Trustpilot reviewer from 2015 mentioned a small downtime in December of that year, which was resolved quickly.

The Terms of Service include a compensation clause: if Bacloud exceeds its maximum troubleshooting time, the monthly fee is reduced by 1/30 for each delayed day. This is a standard SLA-style provision, though the specific resolution timeframes are defined per service type in the service order rather than in the general terms.

For VPS and dedicated server customers, Bacloud provides KVM over IP (IPMI) access on dedicated servers, which means you can manage the server remotely even if the OS is down — including rebooting, changing BIOS settings, and reinstalling the OS. This is standard for dedicated servers but worth highlighting as a practical reliability tool.

Billing practices

A few billing-related items in the Terms of Service are worth knowing before you sign up.

Additional technical work is billed at €49/hour, with a minimum increment of 30 minutes. Time is rounded up: anything from 1 to 30 minutes is billed as 30 minutes; anything from 31 to 60 minutes is billed as a full hour. If a technician travels to a customer's premises, travel time is also billed at the same rate with a 30-minute minimum.

If you prefer paper invoices, you'll pay €1.50 per invoice. Electronic invoices are free. Most customers will never need a paper invoice, but it's an unusual charge.

The late payment penalty is 0.02% of the outstanding amount per day. If you miss a payment, you'll receive a 3-day notice by email before service is suspended. Once you pay, service resumes within 2 working days — not immediately — and a one-time reactivation fee may apply depending on the service.

Service credits (balance added to your account) cannot be refunded as cash. This is standard for many hosting providers but becomes significant if you prepay a large amount and later decide to leave. One older WebHostingTalk complaint from 2013 describes a customer who had credits in their account and couldn't recover them when they moved to another provider, because the refund policy at the time didn't cover account credits.
